There are a number of orthopedic conferences and meetings held throughout the year. We put together this list to help you stay up to date. AAOE Annual Meeting

Interdisciplinary Conference on Orthopedic Value Based Care
January 18 – 20, 2019 — Newport Beach, CA
This conference provides a unique experience for attendees with interdisciplinary speakers, rapid-fire breakout sessions, and hands-on bootcamps. This program was developed to allow for a deeper, more comprehensive focus on orthopedic value-based care. It is based on a three-pronged approach (Financial, Operational and Clinical) to cover the needs of your entire team. Attendees include healthcare executives, physicians, nurses, physical therapists and patients.

AAOS Annual Meeting
March 12-16, 2019 – Las Vegas, NV
At the AAOS Annual Meeting, orthopedic surgeons from all over the country to network, see exhibits, share research, and attend educational presentations. This meeting is open to all AAOS members, and is one of the biggest conferences of the year for orthopedic surgeons.

Mid-America Orthopaedic Association 2019 Annual Meeting
April 10-14, 2019 – Miramar Beach, FL
The Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOA) is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. Attendees can earn CME credits on a number of topics.

Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society Spring Meeting
April 11-12, 2019 — Orlando, FL
This meeting was designed for orthopaedic surgeons, residents, fellow, and medical students planning to specialize in orthopaedic surgery. The theme of the 2019 Spring Meeting is “Controversies in Sports Medicine & Upper Extremity.”

American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) Annual Meeting
April 12-17, 2019 — Houston, TX
AMSSM is an organization for sports medicine specialists. Attendees are able to go to several presentations and workshops, some of which offer CME credits. Topics cover different aspects of sports medicine, including treatment and surgical approaches, diet and exercise, and new developments in sports medicine.

May 2019

American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM) Annual Conference
May 1-4, 2019 — Austin, TX
Topics covered at this meeting will include concussion management, stem cell therapy, and sports injuries. In addition to the available educational credits and opportunities during the conference, pre-conference workshops are also typically available.

Virginia Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting
May 3-5, 2019 — Washington, DC
Attendees of this meeting are able to attend a number of presentations and earn CME credits for some of those events. They also have the opportunity to meet with several medical device and pharmaceutical vendors. This year’s meeting will focus on interests applicable to orthopaedic surgeons throughout the state of Virginia in general practice, with special emphasis on sports medicine and trauma.

American Association of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) Annual Meeting
May 5-8, 2019 — Nashville, TN
This annual conference focuses on orthopaedic practice management and the challenges that come along with it. More than 500 orthopaedic practice executives from across the country attend this event. Events include educational sessions, pre-conference sessions, and networking events.

May 16-17, 2019 — Dublin, OH
This event is open to members, residents, physician assistants, and orthopaedic office executives. Attendees will have a chance to listen to residents present academic papers and attend various exhibits.

California Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting
May 16-19, 2019 — Dana Point, CA
The California Orthopaedic Association (COA) 2019 meeting will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel hotel. Attendees include orthopaedic surgeons, residents, and fellows. In addition to the available CME courses, there will also be a number of social events.

California BONES Society (C-BONES) Annual Meeting at the COA Annual Meeting
May 16-19, 2019 — Dana Point, CA
Held in conjunction with the COA Annual Meeting, the C-BONES Annual Meeting will also be held at the Omni La Costa Resort. C-BONES is a society for practice managers, so it provides the opportunity for practice managers to attend alongside surgeons.

American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting & World Congress
May 28 – June 1, 2019 — Orlando, FL
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting is for sports medicine professionals from every aspect of the specialty. Topics discussed include exercise science and sports injuries. Attendees also have the opportunity to view exhibits from vendors.

Florida Orthopaedic Society (FOS) Annual Meeting
June 20-23, 2019 — Orlando, FL

American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Annual Meeting
June 25-29, 2019 — San Diego, CA
The annual AOA meeting provides a chance for orthopaedic professionals to connect with colleagues and expand leadership knowledge. CME opportunities are also available. Topics range from academic to leadership and management-focused subjects.

American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Annual Meeting
July 11-14, 2019 — Boston, MA
This program is aimed toward orthopaedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in sports medicine. There are a number of instructional courses and workshops for attendees to earn CME credits. Although specific information is not yet available for the 2018 meeting, topics primarily cover treatment and prevention of sports injuries.

Southern Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting
July 17-20, 2019 — Amelia Island, FL
The Southern Orthopaedic Association is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. The Annual Meeting gives attendees an opportunity earn CME credits on a number of topics in orthopaedics.

Western Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting
July 31 – August 3, 2019 — Monterey, CA
The Western Orthopaedic Association is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Attendees can earn CME credits on a number of topics, and there are usually social events planned for spouses and children.

Midwest AAOE Annual Meeting
September 6-8, 2019 — Lake Ozark, MO
The Midwest AAOE is open to orthopaedic administrators in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Attendees have the opportunity to meet with vendors and attend a number of presentations. This year’s meeting will be held at the Camden on the Lake Resort & Spa in Lake Ozark, MO.

American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Annual Meeting
September 12-15, 2019 — Chicago, IL
The AOFAS is holding its 2019 annual meeting in Boston. Full details are not yet available. However, attendees can earn CME credits on a number of topics related to foot and ankle care. There are also a few social activities planned that family members can attend, as well. Attendees also have the chance to meet with vendors.

Clinical Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting
September 18-21, 2019 — Atlanta, GA
The Clinical Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting is aimed at orthopaedic surgeons and residents, sports medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physical and occupational therapists. Attendees can earn CME credits on topics related to orthopaedic surgery and care and meet with vendors and service providers.

Georgia Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting
September 19-22, 2019 — Sea Island, GA

North Carolina Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting
October 10-13, 2019 — Greensboro, NC
The 2019 meeting will take place at the Grandover Resort. This meeting is open to orthopaedic surgeons, physician assistants, retired members, residents, and fellows-in-training in North Carolina. The goal of the meeting is to provide an opportunity to continue medical education and network.
